Avobis Bio was a clinical-stage cell therapy company approaching partner and investor conversations with strong science and an external presence that hadn't caught up. Eight months before their Phase II primary analysis, we built the story that let those conversations start from a position of credibility.

The Objectives

Avobis Bio had real scientific depth: a Phase II randomized trial underway, Fast Track Designation from the FDA, and a mechanism with genuine clinical differentiation. What they lacked was an external presence that made all of that immediately legible to partners and investors encountering the company for the first time.The risk: walking into high-stakes conversations with a story that required too much interpretation, at exactly the moment when clarity mattered most.

Working with Stellar Biotech, I led the brand messaging strategy: clarifying value propositions across audiences, building a verbal identity that balanced scientific depth with human accessibility, and creating a website that could do the work of a first conversation before anyone picked up the phone.

Step 2: Humanize Science

Stellar Biotech's initial mock-ups connected instantly with the Avobis Bio team, setting the tone for the brand direction.

The “Facing Forward” concept became a key design element, emphasizing the human impact of Avobis Bio’s mission. 

The final website instilled a sense of legitimacy and readiness for new opportunities.

At launch, the Avobis Bio team reported that potential collaborators arrived at conversations already oriented to the company's identity and mission. The external presence removed the friction of having to start from zero. Eight months later, STOMP-II primary analysis was complete, leading to an FDA RMAT designation request and an expanded fundraising story.
